Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch B522

Bought at CityWide on Grape Rd. Pour is very silky smooth and the liquid is light and watery, not oily. Color is a beautifully dark amber. The nose is fantastic - full of caramel and subtle rye spice. Taste is buttery and smoky wood with a cool caramel finish. Cinnamon and toasted fruits also present. Very enjoyable!

On the nose neat it's amazing. Brown sugar, caramel, marshmallows, and loads of vanilla. The palate is not quite what the nose leads you to believe, but reminds me a bit more like a barrel proof toasted barrel. It's sweet yet oaky, the proof is in a sweet spot at 121 with a nice spice. Finish is medium long. Overall great pour.

I do not like the burn nor the flavor :( I wish I liked it more

Sweet, brown sugars, caramel, a bit of leather, sweet tobacco, and cherry. Good amount of oak. Finish is oak, hint of cocoa and cherry with a little bit of spice. This is very easy to drink for 121 proof. Although it’s not super complex, it’s still very good.
