Nose: orchard fruits (apricot), floral, oaky spices, bit rough (letting it to breath helps a lot), almond, bit youngish, underlying sweetness
Palate: less rich, malty sweeet, getting peppery towards late palate, nutty, bit rough, young
Finish: red apple, spicy, oaky, dry, bitter, stays with you for minutes

I was surprised how smooth it was, all in all a very pleasant surprise in an 8 year old. I hesitated to purchase since it was only an 8 year old. Glad I chose to buy something I hadnt tried.
Nose is fruity, sweet.
Very good complexity for the price. A sourish front-end, like dried fruit, then comes a very heavy ripe, dark fruity note, malty sweetness, then a good amount of spiciness (yumm), and from the back-back-end a vanilla note/aftertaste. Delicious, especially for something this young!!
A superb single malt! Especially for the price. Not much can beat this at this price, if anything really. It goes for the amount of a more pricier blended scotch but is much better tasting (I hate the grain whiskey taste in blended whiskys). I think this is one of the best value whiskeys you can buy, period. Single malt or not. Very tasty and takes you for a ride. Most definitely recommended!
