Nose of ripe dark cherry, maple syrup hint of leather
Palate of intense candy sugar, black pepper rich oily mouth feel
Finish is super long cinnamon and rye spice
Vanilla, oak, brown sugar and Carmel.
My summary is just get a bottle of knob creek 9 yr single barrel special reserve. It’s amazingly better. This is a good pour but the draw is mostly the packaging which is gorgeous btw. It’s a blend of some rye and other age stated whiskies. For what these cost i would definitely just go for the KC 9s.
Tried neat in Las Vegas, NV, at Vesper. On the nares I get vanilla, brown sugar, vanilla covered almonds. On the palate it is spicy with notes of cinnamon, super nutty, pecan pie, almond brittle.
