Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series 2021 FAE-02

Nose: smells great. Smells like barrel. Taste: I get oak and vanilla with some spice on the back end. Finish: medium finish of oak and spice with some heat. Water?: no. Just to me takes out the oak and vanilla portion and jumps straight to the spices.

Nose: very fruit-forward notes transitioning to strong vanilla and then oak at the end - a very distinctive and strong nose Palate: vanilla bomb, smoother than one would expect from 109 proof Finish: thinner than expected mouthfeel - short but full-bodied finish with vanilla carrying through Another enjoyable edition of the wood finishing series, notably sweeter than the 2020 and first 2021 expressions

Honey, cherry cola, brown sugar, baking spices, sweet bread. Very nice, oily texture on the palate and the finish, which lingers pleasantly. This is a great bourbon. I wish the wood finish series bottles were easier to find, as Makers does well with these.

Nose: Brown sugar and spices but in a soda kinda way like Dr. Pepper, a hint of apple. Palate: Caramel and toffee quickly followed with baking spices Finish: Medium with some spice cinnamon, and clove at the end that lingers on the tongue. Spicy and Sweet is indeed the bottom line here, the wood-stave finish and extra aging add a spicy kick to the approachable sweetness of regular Maker's Mark.
