Sweet corn and a bit of marshmallow on the nose. Vanilla, cinnamon spice, and surprisingly a hint of boiled peanut. Nice, oily coating, and long finish

I realize it can be silly rating a single barrel since I will probably never have it again, but this one honestly was one of the best bourbons I have ever had. It was like vanilla birthday cake. Really rich and I felt like the flavor just lingered for hours after having it.

This particular bottle is a barrel pick "Fortune Favors the Bold". On the nose it's sweet and spicy. Cherry and vanilla with corn and char. On the palate it's a much more rich 1920 Prohibition. It's viscous and rich like a spiked cherry coke, where the warming heat takes the place of the fizz accompanied by charred oak. The finish is long and enjoyable with a long Kentucky hug ending with unmistakable barrel notes.
