Nose: mucho cherries. Lots of vanilla and caramel too. Maybe some cinnamon Palate: so oily and bready and cinnamon. The heat is very subtle for 129.4 proof. Cherries come through on the second sip. Finish: lots of oak but so smooth. Long long finish Overall: very much equal to a good Stagg jr batch with a bit of a smoother palate and more vanilla, less cherries. Amazing for $70

Garfields Pick aroma: Really pleasant and surprisingly didn't burn nearly as much as you would think. Notes of cherry, brown sugar, caramel, honey, rye spice, hint of ripened stone fruit flavor: up front is a dose of luxardo cherry immediately followed by a big kick of rye and barrel spice. The finish goes for days with cherry oak and rye. After each sip you get a huge kentucky hug that will keep you warm on a cold winter night overall: I was hesitant to buy this as i have heard mixed reviews but I'm a big OF fan so i figured it was worth the try. I can easily say this is one of the better bottles i have picked up all year. It's everything i like in OF but turned up to 11. fantastic pick

Spec’s Pick Nose: Warm and sweet. Like fresh strawberry jam still hot on the oven before being canned for the winter. Vanilla, honey, oak, brown sugar. Taste: Starts very sweet and slowly fades into a dry oak finish. Heat definitely follows the drink to the chest and sticks around for a moment. Wonderful complexity and flavor. Again, reminds me of a sweet berry jam on a piping hot piece of toast. 12.8.20. Neat.

Aroma High octane Corn Caramel and Vanilla toffee. Taste Smooth and thick like butter. Taste is sweet begins early and fast. Build to a high proof middle alcohol rasp and a warm hug all the way down.

First pour off the neck, so it may not be a fair assessment. It’s is a deep, rich color like the 1910. There is a lot of flavor on the front like pecan pie, dried apples, vanilla (someone called out banana and I can get that). You only get it briefly and the heat takes over, punches you in the face, and hangs there. I’m hoping this relaxes off the neck. If it does and those flavors come through it will be excellent.

My initial thoughts: Leather and black tea on the nose. Spicy on the initial sip. Midway through the palate, you obtain some gorgeous notes of golden raisins, allspice, with a creamy, almost nougaty finish. You don't experience much heat on the back end that you may anticipate for a 128 proof bourbon. You get more sweetness of figs and almost molasses on the nose after letting it sit for 10 minutes. You get more of the wood on the initial sip followed by candied yams and buttered bread with cinnamon sugar. The finish is more black pepper as you let the pour sit over time. The pour is a definite enhancement over the single barrel 90 proof picks I have.
