Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon

This is a great bourbon. It was given to me as a gift, and I’m loving it so far. I got citrus notes with sweetness and a very tiny hint of baking spice. I’m curious how this would be in an old fashioned given the citrus notes.

If fireball grew up, mellowed out, and became a bourbon. Nose: Strong cinnamon, but not over powering. Sweet caramel & vanilla help to balance it out. Palate: Cinnamon flash up front. Fruit and some baking spice follow, with a hint of the spice at the end. Finish: Sweet finish. Sugar and caramel followed by baking spice. Definitely not bad for the price!

Smooth but plenty of heat for 100 proof. My favorite cheap bourbon. Tastes like some $50 bottles I have had.

Finally got around to trying this. Sweet and spicy flavour. Very nice for the price.

Nose: Citrus orange on the nose with rye notes Taste: Baking spice and molasses in the front. Sweet notes of oak, vanilla and corn. Hint of citrus at the end. Texture: covers the palate nicely and is smooth Recommend neat or as a mixer for the price and provides good flavor for the price as a daily sipper
