Powers John's Lane Release 12 Year

Ethanol, cinnamon, and ginger on the nose. The palate is warming with vanilla and caramel. The finish is smooth with a sweet peppery and spice flavors coming back… which fade to sweet crunchy raw sugar.

A caramel nose. Caramel and vanilla start the flavor profile. There is some cinnamon in the middle that lingers thru the finish. I would have rated this higher if the body were thicker. Otherwise a very enjoyable dram.

RICH, from the Nose to after taste. Smooth all the way through, a little spice, a little smoke, a deep rich sweet, a littler perfection. Open up with a little water. Literally what liquid gold would taste like.

Nose: chocolate, vanilla Palate: big dark chocolate, slight leather Finish: Soft oak

Pretty lovely and rich. Not a distinct finish, and much richer than you would think from the nose. Really nice

Sweet honey and butter cookie on the nose, classic Irish pot still notes. The taste isn’t much different than the nose except it leads mostly with the honey and the butter cookie takes a back seat. Closest comparison is Yellow Spot, same ABV, same age. But Yellow Spot has the same notes plus fresh honey crisp apples. For me the Yellow Spot is the clear winner, but for the price, this one almost gets you there.
