Stellum Bourbon

Pretty sweet on the nose (generic bourbon notes). The taste is nice, but it gets warm/spicy very quickly thanks to the proof. Notes of oak and sweet notes, but the spice takes over pretty quickly. Decent drink, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Sweet and smooth but spicy. Can’t identify any specific flavors that are dominate. Ok, but not great.

Received a blind sample from a friend. Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Light amber. Nose: Bready notes with some honey. Palate: Clove, baking spice, and oak. Finish: Long length with medium heat. Splash: No new flavors are revealed. Overall: 7/10 - The long finish is the star here. The nose is underwhelming and the palate is pretty average, but the finish just won't quit.

Neat pour from the bottom of the bottle. Warm Kentucky hug from start to finish. Taste and aroma are reminiscent of autumn - cinnamon, mulling spices, and apple. A bit of a one-dimensionsl blend.

Tasting neat; this bourbon has a beautiful, comforting aroma of cherry, vanilla, and wood, with a spicy hit even on the nose. It's not very complex, but it's delicious: equal parts bitter orange and sweet vanilla, not cloying and with a long, warming finish. Its biggest flaw is a bit of unpleasant bitterness in the long aftertaste, but this can be over looked.
