Light woodfire, brown bread, cocoa and dark caramel on the nose. Surprisingly fruity and with a soft citrus bent to the palate. A curious floral taste creeps in, reminscent of violets. Quite unexpected. Medium body with a long gently descending finish. An unusual tequila that keeps you on your toes.
I’m not good with describing tasting notes, but this is an amazing tequila. Hands down its my favorite. I will say though, aside from the great and unique flavors you get with the oak whiskey and white wine barrels they use, i get the distinct taste of clove, which is very different than others tequilas. Great tequila, but way too expensive for an everyday sipper.
Nice Sauternes and ice wine like sweetness to the agave.

Komos Extra Anejo is aged for 3 years in French oak white wine barrels and finished in American Oak bourbon barrels. The marrying of these two barrel types delivers an exquisite flavor profile. It has an extremely unique metallic golden color which is uncommon for extra anejo tequilas. It's full bodied with elegant legs. On the nose we distinguish aromas of white wine, citrus, vanilla, oak and spices, along with a nutty pecan component. The palate follows suite with flavors of dried citrus peels, flashes of dried grapes, vanilla, earthy undertones, dry elements on the finish from the wine aging, and the mouthfeel delivers a luxurious velvety texture.
