Tequila Tapatio Blanco

Don’t overlook this budget-friendly tequila: it’s delicious sipped or mixed

Cult favorite, but also a tequila traditionally made with no additives. Tasted neat. Clear but lightly cloudy, light coating legs in the glass. Nose is sweet vegital and mineral, lightly earthy. In the mouth, a ton of stone mineralality, salt, and earthy vegital/grassy flavors. Coating mouthfeel is soft, sweet, and pleasant. Lime, pepper, and a little bitter grassiness shows up in the finish. I can see why people like this, for mixing and even sipping. Lots of flavor, no off flavors or ethanol burn. It's balanced and well made.

Enjoying neat. Aroma is rich with agave and earth/minerals along with citrus, black pepper. Taste is sweet agave with notable sweet anise notes along with citrus (lime) and earth. Finish is long and sweet with herbal anise Overall a wonderful old school tequila that is more flavorful than most blancos

Did not get the intensity of flavor I was expecting from the sourness on the nose, but very nice and smooth. Soft easy sipper, also makes great margaritas
