Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye (Fall 2019)

A very nice rye whisky Very smooth, just enough burn Actually 2022 release

Spicy and strong. A bit too much bite for my liking but still an excellent drink.

This was an exceptional rye. It was everything I was hoping for and more. Immense depth and flavor with calculated heat to compliment the plentiful tones and nuances one could detect. I was short on time, but this is a dram I could easily have enjoyed well into the evening. This dram is and absolute must when it’s available and reasonably priced.

Nose - heavy vanilla, sweet corn, some rye spices but not Palate - high viscosity, exceptional mouthfeel, sweet caramel apple, vanilla cream, heavy baking spices, rye notes at the end Finish - long and warm Exceptional whiskey. Not the best of the BTACs but outstanding nonetheless

Loved it. Nose doesn’t do this Justice.

Warm and spicy. Nose is like a spice cake with nuts. Light citrus.

Love the bold cinnamon notes that are perfectly balanced into the rye.
