On the nose, I get a lot of apple / pear, which I often get on Irish Whiskeys. The first couple of sips were fine, but not hallelujah. The more I drank, the less I liked it. Seemed young and a little harsh.

Flaviar tester. Not bad. Not very smooth though, especially for an Irish whiskey. Drank with 1 ice cube and still had a bit of burn. Probably wouldn’t get a full bottle
More and more I'm finding that the whiskies I enjoy most seem to benefit from a cube of ice and maybe a splash of water... although just cooling off in the ice often does the trick. It certainly did in this case. A touch of sweetness and vanilla along with toasted wood, maybe some fruitiness if I concentrate. Not a trace of smoke or peat, and not really a spicy whiskey. It's nice on its own or in a whiskey sour.
