Light but a bit spicy

I LOVE this Irish whiskey. Sweet, round, green apple. Lovely.

A bit underwhelmed with this one. Typical whiskey notes of butter, sweet toffee and dried herbs. In the taste, the tangy sherry, earthy, nutty spice is short lived. The taste falls flat quick. Solid but wouldn't go back for more.

Flaviar Advent calendar day # 12 Nose: tropical fruit, cereal, slight vanilla, mild nuttiness, honey. Picking up maybe a tiny hint of peat? Palate: salted caramel, toffee, mild lemon zest and vanilla. Strong fruitiness that's hard to pin down exactly somewhere between fig and cooked pineapple of all things. Spicy toasted oak. Sweet but not overly so. Smooth and creamy. Finish: chocolate, oak, mild grain whiskey bite.
