A bold, Rye Whiskey by master distiller Dave Pickerell for WhistlePig Distillery in Vermont aged for a minimum of 15 years in Native estate-grown Vermont Oak barrels, given a long toast and heavy char.
It has an aromatic birth with notes of peppery rye, buttery biscuits, brûléed oranges & toasted nuts; while a spicy life adds notes of toffee, butterscotch, dark chocolate & intense oak & warm leather; that led to a long & warm death with notes of exotic spice & caramel. November 2020 / August 2022
