Some people will think that this is a great value, or that is not that impressive. This rum has an age statement of 21 years. Compared to other 21 years like Appleton Estate, the price for this bottle is a bargain.
On the nose this is pleasant with notes is caramel, molasses and some tobacco and leather, but compared with the AE21, it seems lighter. The palate is very similar and the finish is good and medium lasting. Overall this is a good sipping rum and a great value, but it lacks the depth and body of AE21.
