Ardnamurchan 180/7500
Single Malt — Western Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 21, 2023 (edited April 2, 2023)Nose - smells chemicallish, briny, meaty like ham, flaming cheetoish smell. Taste - smokey and meaty. Tastes like bacon and ham. Beautiful. Light but well rounded. Very surprised for something so young being so mature. Finish is on the shorter side. Maybe the older expressions they release may develop longer finish. -
An amazing dram. Smokey and leathery nose. Could smell some herbs as well. Has smoky barbecue nature to it. On the tongue, initially, it had a powerful taste, Avery smoky mouth feel. Tasted like campfire and woody and a hint of bitters. My preferred way to sip this is with two drops of water. It really opens up and turn into a sweet barbeque, yet smokey experience, like candied bacon. The bitters vanish.

An easy drinking bourbon. Has tons of flavor. Smells like vanilla and oak and Christmas spices like cinnamon, nutmeg etc. Initial taste suggests sweet vanilla pod with cardamom, cloves and cinnamon. Has a nice herbal essence to it. Finish is medium. Would be amazing if it was made as cask strength with longer finish.
