A rich whisky, made from selected Indian Barley grown up the feet of the Himalayas, matured by the water flowing there & cultivated by old & traditional agricultural practices. It is carefully mashed & distilled in small batches to preserve the natural aroma, matured in oak barrels in unique tropical conditions, at an altitude of 3000 feet above sea level at Bangalore, the garden city of India. This Whisky matures by losing almost half its volume to the angels. It has a confident, bitter-sweet birth with notes of licorice-bourbon, burnt honeycomb & toffee; while life is rich adding notes of barley, oak & molasses; that led to a long & intense death with notes of oak, sweet dry theme & a hint of cream toffee. A rich, blended whisky aged in oak, sherry & bourbon casks before being crafted, using the Solera method from Speyside, Scotland. It has a rich birth with notes of vanilla, honey, heather & dark berry; while life is silky & full-bodied adding notes of sherry oak & cinnamon; that led to a long & delicate death with notes of white chocolate & apple. A balanced, hand-selected, limited, Kentucky straight Bourbon, aged 8-10 years, introduced in 2008. It has a delicate birth (a bit cognac-y) with notes of jasmine, vanilla, sweet corn, cinnamon & ginger; while a woody life adds hints of nut, oak, black tea, butterscotch, lemon, dried corn, rye & banana; that lead to a spicy death of medium length with notes of herbs & rye. An outstanding, balanced, Straight Bourbon Whiskey aged for 12 years in new American oak by the Willett Distillery in Kentucky. It has a spicy birth with notes of cinnamon, cocoa, black pepper, rye, canned pear sweetness, cherry, raspberry & fresh sawed oak; while a creamy life adds notes of sugary syrup from canned pears, caramel & honey; that leads to a long & warming death with notes of fruit, butterscotch, baking spices, vanilla & mint. An intense, Family Estate Bottled Rye Whiskey from the Willett distillery in Kentucky - made with stock distilled after the Willett distillery re-opened in 2012! The first distillation takes place in their 60-foot tall column still, while the second distillation takes place in a copper pot still. Following that, the spirit was filled into white oak barrels with a level 4 char to mature. It has a birth with notes of rye, oak, lemongrass, caramelized apple & a hint of savory thyme; while a sweet life adds notes of herbs, spices, mint & cinnamon; that led to a long, dry & toasted death with notes of fruit, maple, black pepper, brown sugar & beeswax. A rich, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey aged for a minimum of 10 years in new charred American white oak barrel & bottled at 94.4 proof. It has a bold aromatic birth with notes of grain, wood, fruit & spices; while a rich life adds notes of sweet corn, cherry, marmalade, dark toffee, maple syrup & vanilla; that led to a balanced death of medium length with notes of charred oak, bread, tobacco, leather & earth. Michter's US* Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey is a balanced, single barrel Straight Rye Whiskey by Michter's Distillery in Kentucky made with a recipe from 1753. It has an aromatic birth with notes of rye grain, marzipan & Cracker Jacks; while a spicy & savory life adds notes of stewed rye grain with marmalade & a hint of butterscotch candy; that led to a long & balanced death with notes of pepper & port wine. A balanced, Cask Strength, Single Barre, Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey aged in new charred American white oak barrels; then aged an additional period in a toasted barrel. It has an almost delicate birth with notes of grain, wood, fruit, nuts, herbs & spices; while a rich life adds notes of cherry, toffee, honey & mint; that led to a warm death of medium length with notes of oak, dark chocolate, black walnut & campfire. October 2023
