Makes a good old fashioned. Notes of toffee, lemon, orange, some grass, dark caramel and oak. Nice balance but ends on a bit of wintergreen note that i didnt care for. But like I said, makes a good old fashioned.

It isn't super sweet by any means. Instantly hotcakes is noticeable on the nose. Butterscotch. Oak. Something slightly green. The palate has a good amount of burn. There's maple but it isn't overpowering. Caramel. Fudge. More spice then a dark chocolate note at the the finish along with oak.

The nose is sweet. Apple. Sugar. Vanilla. The palate contains heavier caramel notes and dark caramel. It starts with that fruit and vanilla before going into that caramel and the arrival of that spice note. Sort of a medium mouthfeel. The flavor notes are what you would expect going into a standard bourbon. It does everything right. The increased rye in the mashbill gives it a nice edge of spice, specifically on the finish.

This should be an annual release. It has that usual unique Dragons Milk flavor, and its cranked to 11. It finishes with the honey sweetness and spice. Some citrus. Lingers with a dark maltiness. Really great mouthfeel. It went beyond my expectations.

Really great change of pace from what I've had lately. Strong candy apple and caramel on the nose. Slight pine. Some herbal characteristics. Those notes come through at the beginning on the palate before going into spice, oak, and leather. The leathercontinues with spice. Finishes a bit dry. Some great flavors come through with this bottle. It's a bit on the darker side and even more so on the spicy. A worthwhile bottle for the 40$ price I paid.

Barrel # 019 Amazing nose. Chocolate. Vanilla. Cherry. Graham cracker. It was a great beginning, but the palate is just too heavy handed. Starts with those Chocolate malt notes, but then goes into a heavy mint that lingers for some time. It overstays its welcome. The finish is interesting. Slightly burnt oak and orange. It stays for some time with a bit of dark chocolate. Its not very well balanced but does have some good flavors going on.

Would be put in the mixer category. Flat flavor, decent nose. The nose has notes of candy apple, spice, some tobacco and malt. The malt takes of the palate with a little bit of apple. Spice comes through the finish with and then dissipates, not leaving anything. Very middle of the road.

Its been an even more enjoyable experience after returning to the bottle. Cherry and vanilla on the nose. Overall, its a sweet bottle. Spice throughout. But im noticing more of a candied almond note. That comes through and balances out the sweetness and spice. It finishes on that almond and vanilla. Its a spicy bottle, but its still balanced with the flavor it packs.
