I tried this at a tasting and enjoyed it very much. It had the typical bourbon notes with a well rounded body with less bite. I’d like to purchase one of these and give it a proper review.

Flavors and bite is very subdued compare to the bourbon which was a surprise. Usually I expect cask strength ryes to kick me in the nuts, but surprisingly this went down pretty easily, even easier than the Stellum bourbon too. I got the oak, cinnamon and bit of a peppery spiciness with licorice. It’s a nice rye and a cask strength at this price point is pretty good.

This cask strength bourbon got some heft to it. The cinnamon, cherry, vanilla notes and also a few notes that I usually don’t get in a bourbon, the burned sugar and dark chocolate. And everything is cranked up to 11. The taste give you that extra kick of spice and the bite. Very strong, so not something you can shoot down easily. I can nose this all day.

I got to taste this in a tasting and it had the flavor profile I enjoy very much in a classic bourbon. This was my first BIB too so that’s something to celebrate. Oak, cherry, vanilla and cinnamon notes were well balanced with the 100 proof. Definitely thinking about purchasing it later.

Drank this in a bar and wasn’t a fan of it. I was expecting have more of depth at least something close to Jameson. But this didn’t deliver for me.

This was better than I expected tbh. The pear, green apple and sweet grain notes were strong. Very smoothly went down too. For a young Irish blend it’s not a bad sipper.

This is my standard sipper when it comes to bourbon. All classic bourbon notes are there and the whiskey at 47% is goes down very smoothly.

It’s a beautiful bottle and a cap. Whiskey is good too. This bourbon has the typical flavors of the vanilla, oak, cherry, orange and spiciness. I hear it’s expensive. There are other bourbons I will buy first before Blanton’s for sure. P.S. I mooched this from a co-worker. So don’t know what’s the going price for it.

Classic Kentucky bourbon with a hint of extra spice. The vanilla and oak were strong flavors. I enjoyed the extra bite that comes from extra rye I believe. Very long lingering after taste too. This would make a nice cocktail.

This was very easy to drink bourbon. Didn’t have a lot of bite I get from a typical bourbon but the flavors were there. Oak, vanilla, honey and spicy notes were dominant. Has a very smooth finish too. It was surprisingly very good.
