Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed June 20, 2021 (edited May 12, 2022)With the 100 proof The Classic Laddie hits the spot. I got molasses, floral, vanilla, honey sweetness with a bit of saltiness. It’s not too complex but complex enough to enjoy a dram with your friends. But please let them know about the 50% abv because this high proof can easily get someone easily since it is so drinkable. P.S. I am on to my 4th bottle of classic laddie. It’s so good. My original rating was 3.75. But now I have to give it a 4.5. It’s all sweet butterscotch, molasses with the right baking of brine. It’s just beautiful.69.99 USD per BottleLas Vegas -
First of all I love the bottle. The whisky is beautiful too. You get the quintessential flavors in bourbon, oak, cherry, cinnamon, the spice, and then the impact from the port cask brings this extra layer of mixed berries and tannins. Holds up pretty good to ice too.48.99 USD per BottleLiquor World

Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed June 9, 2021 (edited January 29, 2022)Actually this was a lot nice and smoother than I thought it would be. Had a dram at a bar couple of nights ago, but forgot to log. It had the typical bourbon notes like oak and nuttiness. A very smooth finish. Way easier to drink than a regular JD.24.99 USD per BottleLas Vegas -
Glen Fohdry Fion Frangach French Oak Cask Finish
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed June 8, 2021No age statement and that young whisky tastes very fruity. Even with the 47.1 ABV it is still easily drinkable. No complexity to the flavor profile. I’m not sure what French oak did to this. Couldn’t find something new on here that I’ve tasted or smelled before25.99 USD per BottleLas Vegas -
This was better than I thought would be. A decent whisky for the price. I don’t usually trust the independent bottlers but my research tells me the owners of Glenfiddich & Balvenie do the bottling for this for Total Wine. So that’s something lol It’s very easy to drink. You get the sweet maltiness you get on most highlands. A bit of vanilla and even some unexpected ashy note on the finish. It’s rich and even with a low proof it got a character to it. It’s not mind blowing great, but my whisky sipping experience was pleasant.34.99 USD per BottleLas Vegas

Quite enjoyed it. It’s a typical bourbon with an extra kick of spice probably from rye on the mashbill. Goes down smoothly. Body and the finish is very mild thanks to the 80 proof. You get the typical cherry, vanilla, cinnamon and oak that you get in most bourbons. I saw online people calling this was a gateway bourbon for many, and I can totally see that.39.99 USD per BottleLas Vegas
