Tastes

Whisky me pouch. Bourbon like aroma. Taste is smooth up front, quickly turning 🔥 with spicy rye and alcohol burn. Sweet cherry, oak and caramel flavours. A little rough around the edges but I quite like it.

Whisky me pouch. Nose straight away is Sherry. Sweet and creamy taste with a bit of smoke actually. Quite light and young, fresh and vibrant. Really enjoyable.

Whisky me pouch. My first sample of kilchoman, very impressed. Peaty aroma and slightly medicinal. Really light and refreshing taste which took me by surprise. Fruity and fresh, Sherry barrels especially prominent, giving some raisin notes. Light smoke and salt mix in with the sweetness to give a lovely, lingering finish. Definitely will be looking to get a bottle of this.

My favourite budget Irish whiskey so far. Got all that buttery shortbread,apple & honey with a nice mouthfeel. So lovely. Great value for money.

It's a fruity one, notes of apple and peach. Lots of sweet honey and bourbon, a little floral. Quite oily and a bit buttery. Apple on the nose at first, then went all malty and earthy. Wasn't too bad a dram, simple, light and fruity.

Taster. Got a sweet nose of malted barley. Sweet and oily mouthfeel with bourbon, honey and a little Sherry coming through. Certainly a sweet Irish whiskey this, not bad.

Light. A touch of smoke. Subtle sweetness, fisherman's plaster is the predominant note. Nice enough bit not quite to my tastes. Pouch via 'whisky me'.

Double straight up. Spicy nose with a surprising hit of spearmint that continues onto the palate. Sweetness of vanilla and cherry. Spicy rye gives off a nice heat. A nice rye whiskey, would work well in a cocktail too I'd imagine.
