As much as I love the bottle, and it is darn cool, I didn’t care for the bourbon. I hate to say it but it let me down. From the nose it was simply funky and not what i would consider inviting. Odd flavor and not a smooth taste. Feel like it was rushed to get it out. Kind of harsh/briny. Hopefully they pull off a better batch soon! Now that i have a full bottle, I’ll save it for those special occasions when i don’t particularly want my guests to return… Second pour… note, the above was neat… now giving it a go with an ice wedge. I felt a few drops of water would not have much impact. The nose is a bit more pleasing, maybe a peanut influence but certainly not taking over. Still a smell i just can’t peg. On the tounge not nearly as harsh but that is not surprising. Will note that the lingering taste is much more pleasant now. Maybe, maybe, a little more floral. I have to stick to the one star as all my tasting pours are evaluated neat and that experience still stands.

A little uneventful to me. A kind of floral hint at the nose and in the taste. Maybe a little briney if that is the right description. Pleasant enough but not top shelf.

A floral hit my nose at first. Nice surprise as my nose has issues! LOL… A very smooth and savory flavor with hints of fruit and floral, oak and simply mellow. Deserves a better overall rating than just 3.5!

A very nice pour. The first was a bit heated but not overly hot. A nice bouquet of flavors, a little floral and a little fruity. Additional pours mellowed nicely. A few drops of water opened this up nicely and the back end now introduces a hint of oak.

A very nice rye. Wonderful texture and smoothness. Interesting set of flavors.

A very smooth 109 proof. A bouquet of flavors come through as the taste ages. Just a hint of heat that never really develops, which is a nice surprise. One to keep on the shelf!

More than a hint of coffee for me. Interesting.

An interesting and enjoyable flavor comes thru with this pour. Can’t quite put my finger on it but kind of floral and a little savory at the same time. One I would enjoy again.

An excellent and very smooth Scotch. One to keep on the shelf for sure.
