Tastes

This is very aromatic. Smells of cinnamon, vanilla and earthy spices. First sip is a slap of heat that comes on strong but settled down quickly. The epitome of a Rye. This is a fun whiskey and serves good as a sipper neat or a cube or two, but it's a Rye!

Light buttery, spicy vanilla notes. Fruity taste of red fruit, plum and late kick of baking spices and heat. With cooling oak and medicinal finish. Good sipper to share with friends or family.

Taste of honey sweet nose with a tinge of cinnamon spice. The very first taste is sweet with sherry, then it follows with orange flavors at the top of your palate followed by bitter smoke, the oak is in the aftertaste with more bitterness. The finish lingers but it's not a good finish. I would not buy this for its $86 price tag. Feels more like a bottle in the high $20 vicinity.

The scent of cinnamon is heavy followed by vanilla. Good heat for a rye. Black pepper, caramel and fruity oddly enough. Solid Rye with a super long cinnamon finish

Interesting spicy noise, smells caramel and herbs. Nice amount of heat but nothing overpowering. Lingering oily long finish of menthol and baking flavors. Very small hint of vanilla. Nice sipper to enjoy during the holidays. Interestingly complex but deserves a spot in my cabinet.

Wow from the reviews a lot of people aren't fans but I enjoyed this. The nose smelled sweet and rich. Heavy smells of caramel, vanilla and floral. The taste was interesting. This is a bourbon that is good neat. Solid abv, smooth, slightly oily. Taste of honey but not too sweet, cinnamon, licorice and slightly spicy. Long and toasty finish Not too heavy but just right

A strong nose of rich caramel, butterscotch and oak. Deceiving amont of heat, hint of cinnamon, char and smoke. Sweet, mellow, very unique surprisingly long finish. Honestly feels like drinking a camp fire.

Strong floral sweet scents with a touch of vanilla. Love the amount of heat and spice. Strong enough to linger, but not too much to where it needs ice. Taste great neat. Oily and filled with a good amount of smoke and the oak doesn't over power your taste buds. Well rounded with a good finish. Will keep in stock.

Took a long time to find it. Once I found it I was eager to see if it met the hype. First sip and I was highly underwhelmed. Rich thick and oily. A man's man bourbon. Full taste of vanilla, oak, spiciness and moderate finish. It's good, but not great.

Sweet fruity nose with oak and vanilla. The abv is solid. Moderate spice, peppery smoky finish. The finish lingers with a menthol aftertaste. Ok, but very different. Update - not a fan after drinking again and will not buy Ever
