Very good, very drinkable! Aroma: Peaty and fruity Taste: Slightly and elegantly smoky. Fruity, rounded and sweet. The taste has gentle tones and tasty malty aromas. This lacks the marine peat and salinity you come across in Islay’s whiskies. I was enjoying this very much!!

Not so bad. Delicate, floral, toffee and berries to taste. A small sharp edge can be found. When you add a splash of water, the whiskey opens up like a flower. With water (3.5) points. Perfect pair with afternoon cup of coffee.

Damn it, this is a good rye whiskey. Rounded and sweet in taste. Slightly thin body. I may enjoy it neat, on the rocks or with ginger ale. A real all-rounder. I recommend.

I know this is Jim Murray's favourite rye whiskey. I'm just sipping this and it's dry and oaky. I can taste caramel, banana, toffee etc. but it's still too dry to my taste. Very good in cocktails and mixing with soft drinks. I prefer JD Rye more rounded and sweet in taste.

I need to compare this to Scotch malt whiskeys. I can taste dark fruits, spicy barley, gentle oak and creamy richness but this is so much like speyside Scotch malt, so I will not get excited. It's easy to find other malt whiskeys at a cheaper price.

Warm spicy aroma and flavor includes toffee, cinnamon, apple, cream and malt. It can be enjoyed with or without ice. I often enjoy it with Assam tea.

Super smooth and tasty Coffey still malt whisky from Japan. I can taste orange, chocolate, salt liquorice, raisins etc. If you drink it neat you may find wonderful peppery bite in the finish. All in all, to my surprise, a wonderful whisky.

Full-bodied and sweetish. Dark berries, raisins, dates, etc. The rum barrel finish has done good for this whiskey. This will be my Christmas cake. I have to be careful and keep the cap on, otherwise my cake will end before Christmas.

What a fantastic surprise. This dram has nothing to do with the ordinary Cutty Sark. Pale in color, full of great flavors and a soft peppery finish. 50 ABV is the perfect choice here.

Wonderful mix of single pot and grain whiskeys. One of the smoothiest drams I have ever tasted. Can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks and in coctails. Jameson, ginger ale and a wedge of lime is a classic. Great whiskey all in all. When I prepare my Irish Coffee cocktail I prefer to have more robust whiskey than Jameson. Maybe Jameson Black Barrel.
