Pear and honey on the nose. Honeycomb, earth, with a touch of smoke for the palate. Moderately waxy mouthfeel is pleasant, though some ethanol presence makes it taste younger than it is.

It’s the distillery character without the age and luxurious mouthfeel. Sea salt, campfire, and stone fruit without the age and complexity that comes with the age in the 16 year expression. Lots of pepper and slow burn compared to other young expressions. Adding water brings out floral notes.

Drank on a rock on a hot day. The only notes that withstood the ice were some sweet corn, barrel bitter, and ethanol. Reminded me of college! In the eloquent words of my better half—“reminds me of Jim Beam”
