I'm a fan of Ezra Brooks simply from a value perspective, and this rye doesn't disappoint. If you want something smoother and easier to drink neat, Sazerac will fit the need in a relative budget. That said, this rye packs a lot of depth with a strong nose & rich palate. The ABV is perfect to cut through anything you'll mix with this and it's phenomenal in a Manhattan. I just don't think you'll find anything comparable at this price point that delivers so much (maybe Rittenhouse, but liek Sazerac, that's a few dollars higher). Enjoy.19.99 USD per Bottle

Another winner (in my book) from Noble Oak. I love their bourbon and this Rye...what unique spin with the port wine cask. It has tremendous depth, easy on the spice, terrific at 48%, and very nicely enjoyed neat. I find it hard to decipher that it's a rye - reminds me of some experimental cask bottlings from the Single Malt world like a Glenmorangie.35.0 USD per Bottle

Noble Oak Double Oak Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 29, 2021 (edited November 22, 2021)I cannot understand the low community rating. For the price, this bourbon is outstanding. Smooth, oaky, gentle at 45 abv, deep unique flavor. Drink neat.35.0 USD per Bottle -
The Busker Triple Cask Triple Smooth
Blended — Ireland
Reviewed October 25, 2020 (edited March 8, 2021)I was excited to try this, but it's typical of a cheaper Irish whiskey. Body is light, mouthfeel is unremarkable. Nose is on the weaker side but decent hints of malt. Palate is slightly astringent and it's as if you have to really search for a consistency in the taste. Not a fan of the finish as it leaves a mild bitterness on the tongue. I can see using this more in cocktails that might call for an Irish whiskey but not a valiant sipper at all.25.0 USD per Bottle -
Ezra Brooks 90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 6, 2019 (edited September 16, 2019)Giving it a 4.0 due to the combination of taste profile & price. At $12.99 you cannot go wrong with this bourbon (though some here have gotten it for as little as $9.99). It can definitely be enjoyed neat & not "just as a mixer". It's a light shade of gold in color, with a perfumy nose and a light-bodied mouth-feel. There is a depth of character but not as bold as something like Buffalo Trace or Larceny. Finish is long and satisfying. Again you have to consider the price on this dram. Once you cross over the $20 mark, I think you're in different territory and a comparison to Evan Williams Single Barrel, Jim Beam Distillers Cut, Buffalo Trace etc, is not appropriate. Enjoy it for what it is...at the very least if you have friends come by, you can serve something they'll enjoy without breaking the bank!12.99 USD per Bottle
