Nose: Heather, honey, lemon, orange, apple, vanilla, herbal undertones, faint smooth smoke and antiseptic. Palate: Light but well rounded and pleasant mouthfeel, refined sea salt, more intense spice, burnt orange, floral notes. Finish: Medium length grassy freshness, herbs, long lasting vanilla. In summary, an easy going malt but one with wonderful delicate attributes that make it an enjoyable experience. Not as satisfying as some in the depths of a cold winter, but apt for an Autumn or Spring warmer.Trentham

Reviewed September 28, 2020 (edited October 29, 2020)Nose: Punchy but not obtrusive peaty smoke, toffee, vanilla, pineapple, sea air, burnt orange, fresh green apple, pickled ginger. Palate: Full and slightly oily mouthfeel, peat, band aids, caramel, white pepper, sea salt, seaweed. Finish: Medium peaty smoke, lingering white pepper, campfire, tobacco, tar, brine, vanilla remnants, satisfying chest warming. In summary, a memorable and very satisfying malt experience, and a great introduction to peated whisky.Trentham -
Nose: Bold rounded and somewhat sweet peat smoke, vanilla, brown sugar, hints of orangey citrus, faint white pepper, licorice and aniseed. Palate: Oily and full mouthfeel, background of faint mint leaves, caramel, sea salt and herbal notes. Finish: Medium long length, lingering pleasant smooth and rounded peat smoke, bittersweet. In summary, an amazingly complex and intriguing dram, which is very well rounded but packs a peat smoke punch that reminds you that this is no novice dram. My favourite so far in my limited years of experience, but it’s going to be hard to beat.Trentham
