Mezcales de Leyenda Oaxaca
Mezcal Joven — Oaxaca, Mexico
Reviewed December 7, 2016 (edited May 22, 2020)Deep in-your-face smoke that's rounded off with a hint of fresh vegetal agave flavour and sweetness. Good but heavy on the smoke for my taste. Probably comparable, maybe a tad sweeter than Creyente. $73 in Ontario.73.0 CAD per BottleWhite Rabbit -
Rich dark fruit sherry sweetness with a kick from the ABV and a hint of rye/sherried oak spice. The spice settles significantly with water, which is not a requirement, but is strongly recommended. It’s great but even with water there’s more spice than I’d ideally prefer. $100 in Ontario.100.0 CAD per BottleWhite Rabbit

Don Julio Blanco Tequila
Tequila Blanco — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed December 7, 2016 (edited August 17, 2018)Smooth, with soft sweet agave and dry lime. More sweetness than Patron but not cloying or overpowering like some blancos. Just like the reposado it's a good option but not my first choice. $80 in Ontario.80.0 CAD per BottleWhite Rabbit -
Boodles British London Dry Gin (45.2%)
London Dry Gin — England
Reviewed November 26, 2016 (edited August 17, 2018)Bright, soft juniper and citrus. Like Hendricks without the cucumber, and a stronger burn in comparison despite having the same ABV. $30 in Ontario.30.0 CAD per Bottle -
Bright bold citrus and juniper smell but pungent, almost chemical juniper/floral taste. I can see the appeal for some but at the same time it reminds me a bit of hand sanitizer. Tonic lightens it up but the same flavour profile prevails. A disappointment compared to standard Tanqueray. $50 in Ontario.50.0 CAD per Bottle

Bombay Sapphire Gin (40%)
London Dry Gin — England
Reviewed November 4, 2016 (edited August 17, 2018)Velvety, oily, deep citrus and juniper. Muted flavour compared to Beefeater and Tanqueray. Makes a decent, smooth but heavy, overly floral G&T, in taste and smell. $29 in Ontario.29.0 CAD per Bottle
