Tastes

More complex than I would expect for a large brand name. Not a whole lot in the way of aftertaste, but it's a decent drink.

Note: This is for the Double Cask, but I couldn't find that on the app. Very smoothe with some enjoyable aftertaste of vanilla and dark fruit. I'm not usually into Highlands, but this is pretty good

This is unique but familiar at the same time. The reviews that call this out as being a blend of Ardbeg with a smoky sherry flavor are spot on. The first thing you notice is the deep almost burgundy color. The nose seemed almost all sherry to me. The taste was Ardbeg but mellower, with a surprisingly smooth aftertaste. The peat and heat are both tamped down which I guess makes this more approachable. All in all, this is a very enjoyable experience. But if you are coming to Ardbeg for the distinctive peat taste, you may be better off with the Ardbeg 10 (especially with the price difference).

Maybe good if you are Indian and looking for something from home, but not good otherwise

It's got a great taste but still light. Smoky overtones but not a lot of deep flavors. Solid standby Scotch.

This is a very unique Islay. A surprising flavor of light, tart fruit (pear?) combined with a standard Islay taste. Interesting, but not my favorite.

It's surprisingly astringent. It helps to have a drop of water with it, but there not the quality of flavor I would expect for this price.

Peppery and sweet, but very smoothe throughout.

This is great. A fruity taste followed by a surprisingly smoothe dark taste that gives way to a distinct charcoal aftertaste. It's worth being the go-to drink to share for special occasions.
