Enjoyed neat with a spare drop or two of water. Translucent amber. Smells like orange peel and pith with a backbone of charred oak. Very warm on the tongue, kind of hides most flavors bit I do get notes of sweet maple and touch of orange along with some char. Finish is warm with a continuance of the orange and pretty quick. Quite nice. I'd get it again.

Interesting back story whether true or not. Smells of toasted bread smeared with warm caramel. Tastes sweet, medium to full body, not overly complex, not as warm as the proof indicates which leads to a smooth finish. Great for the price but just good overall. Nice sipper when not looking for anything special.

Wow! Smells of warmth, leather, dark fruits and vanilla. From the first small sip there's plenty of warming coating the mouth, tingly feeling from top to bottom and on the tongue. Flavors of sweet vanilla and caramel. Long warm finish all the way down. This was with just a couple of drops of water. The water really opened it up to flavor while softening the heat.
