At this price range I feel you are in better hands with a buzz provided from Tullamore D.E.W. or Bushmills. After many weeks of talking about a recommendation from another customer, Paddy seemed pretty disappointing when I finally had it. While I prefer Tully and Bushmills over Jameson, I would say i prefer all three over Paddy. Maybe this one guy liked this whiskey for some other reason, but I can't with good conscience recommend this at the liquor store I work at for anything other than a mixer. It's not in my taste preferences. I would rather drink a $20 rum, cognac, scotch, Irish whiskey, pretty much any other $20 liquor than this one. And that's at a Jason's price point. Boring, barely noseless till you get halfway down the bottle, and still, nothing special. Literally nothing exciting to report on the tip of the tongue. It's not terrible, it's just why spend money to sip on something like this? If you are buying it, don't buy it to sip on. And only buy it if you don't care about the money you spent on it.

El Jimador Reposado Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed April 12, 2018If you buying a repo under $20, I can only say I've had many good nights with a fifth of this at the helm. I like to sip, my girl likes cocktails. This is a perfect middle ground under $20. I still haven't had the añejo, but El Jimador Reposado has only over-delivered at this price point. As many tequilas as I've had, this beats the rest in this price range. -
Gran Centenario Reposado Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed March 19, 2018 (edited April 25, 2019)oh man so good! hard taking notes on a whim on my last sip of this shot but it's smooth, spicy, a little complex and I wanna say floral or slightly piney (in the vein of a bulleit rye/gin) definitely want to get a 750ml of this and explore it more. -
Sippable. I 2nd pretty much all the other reviews. Has about the same smoothness as any VSOP Cognac. Love that lingering taste. Definitely smells like cola. Taste is smooth all around. No burn. Nothing unpleasant about it. Wish I kept some of the Flor de Cana with the 4 on the label to A/B compare with the 7 but this definitely feels worth the price gap between the two.

probably ok in cocktails I'm not a cocktail guy usually, I just wanted a cheap liquor to sip on for a tight budget pay period, saw this for a dollar more than Evan Williams so I gave it a try as I've been having a lot of rums lately. definitely not a sipper. but sipping notes from an experienced liquor store employee: the nose is not scary, goes down smooth, notes of molasses if you swallow right, but then this huge plastic/rubber taste comes in, all invasive-like, that I can only describe as those bendable parts of action figures. as I said, probably okay in cocktails, I find Bacardi so far in their rums to be pretty underated at their price points, but man... not a sipper for sure. wish I got Evan Williams...
