Nose: vanilla, oak, sweet Palate: spicy, tart, sweet, light oak Finish: oak spice, sweet, a little dry Much better than I expected for $13. There is a surprising amount of barrel influence for such an inexpensive bourbon. Nothing objectionable at all about this one. It lacks complexity compared to more expensive bourbons but is very good.

Gold Bar American Whiskey
Other Whiskey — (blended & bottled in California), USA
Reviewed January 4, 2020 (edited August 31, 2020)Nose: light, sweet, very mild spice, little bit of corn Palate: thin, not a lot a flavor intensity, mild sweetness, mild corn Finish: short, very sweet (almost candy sweet), very mild spice Overall, a relatively unremarkable whiskey. -
Nose: sweet, fruity, malt, and a little bit of oak Palate: light, fruity, a little sweet, mild to moderate spice Finish: medium length, spicy, mild sweetness This is my second time trying this whiskey. It was a little more complex and more enjoyable this time. I’m not sure if that’s the blend being any different or if it’s just my tastes changing. Either way, this is an enjoyable whiskey and very drinkable.
