Tastes

Tastes like a light whiskey with an IPA twist. Doesn't add nearly as much complexity as their stout edition but if you're an IPA fan it's perfectly fine.

Mostly alcohol on the nose, buy the body is super rich compared to most Irish whiskeys. Works really well. Creamy and rich, melts across the tongue. Interesting contrast to the light grain flavors. Probably my favorite Irish so far just because I always like the heavier ones.

Grain on the nose instead of the usual grassy. Medium body, great flavors, and as approavhable as you'd expect. Nice.

Aroma is dark toffee and wood flavor, subtly sweet. The flavor is similarly dark with toffee, chocolate, and dark wood. Quick and clean finish. The flavors are rich and approaching medicinal. Love the flavors, wish it had more body and tail.

There's a beautiful light aroma here that's maybe vanilla and honey. I'm also getting fruit. The flavor is oak, but with a balanced sweetness from some stonefruit. Maybe apricot. Very nice, balances well with the body. Medium tail, clean finish.

Smells wonderful, like corn and molasses. Deep and well balanced. Taste is sweet, fiery, with a nice spice kick at the end. The spice goes well with the proof. Same old Forrester taste. Love it.

Smells peaty but with a sweetness that blends wonderfully. The flavors are magnificent. Peat, with a healthy tail that let's the peat and sweetness blend together. I feel I can't get the flavors fully because I've been eating black pepper. But it tastes like a slightly unbalanced talisker 10.

Smells and tastes like the 10.1, but with added peat flavor on top of the wood. More of the earthy peat notes here rather than smoke, like the soil/grassy peat elements shine through. Coming back to it I get a tingling spice on the tail.

Light sweet aroma, subtle sweetness. Wood and maybe some sort of fruit. Medium body, medium tail, mostly the oak flavor. Reminiscent of the 9.1 but with less power.

The smell here is more smoky than peaty to me compared to 8.1. Definely more subtle as well. Same medium richness with smoky tones but not as aggressive. Tail has a bite to it, very strong but hard to place. Like a smoky spice. Interesting.
