An incredibly rich, powerful, balanced and oh so good whiskey! The nose is amazing with sweet, woody, spicy notes. On the palate it’s a cavalcade of spice, oak, tobacco and leather up front and then coats your palate with sweet vanilla and toffee. The finish is eternal! Truly a whiskey to be savored neat although with one big rock it still remains bold just sweeter. Amazingly smooth with its high proof. Cheers!

Picked up a store pick single barrel bottle yesterday. I find it to be better than the “regular” Baby Bourbon. Lots of CORN on the nose upon pouring then opens up to sweet, salty caramel, oaky notes. On the palate it is thin but all aforementioned notes discernible. Finish is somewhat short and dry...Easy drinking, neat sipper.

Happy that I finally found and purchased a bottle of this exquisite whiskey, and at MSRP. Phenomenal nose of bold baking spices, vanilla, pepper, oak and of course rye. On the palate, the above mentioned explodes in your mouth. All notes are in balance and in rich, viscous harmony with an incredibly long finish. This is a fantastic whiskey to be enjoyed and savored everyday. After all, we should celebrate each day. Cheers!

I was looking forward to this and finally found one today. Beautiful color, intense aroma upon opening...With a few swirls it captivates you caramel corn, maple syrup, spices and nice oak background. The taste pretty much the same as the aforementioned notes but with a terrific mouth coating viscous feel that has a medium long finish. Well done whisky from GD...Easy sipping, 14 year old , 100 Proofer...Cheers!

My deserted island bourbon...Been a WT fanboy for 30 years and love practically all of their variants (except the 81 Bourbon and Rye). The 101 has a great balance of sweet, spicy, oaky nose and flavor. Coats your palette with all of its deliciousness for a medium, long finish. Wonderful to sip neat or with some rocks in your glass.

The epitome of WT, especially if you can purchase store picked barrels. Phenomenal nose of oak, spice and vanilla frosting. On the palate it luscious and layered. Upfront you’ve got the baking spice and immediately thereafter the wonderful oak and sweetness kicks in. Leading to a medium to long finish. Truly a terrific bourbon to enjoy slowly and take it all in. Cheers!

Delicious, elegant but still with the upfront and in your face punch of spicy and sweet you’d expect from WT. Considering the bottled proof, this has all of the wonderful characteristics and taste you would expect. It’s vicious, lovely mouthfeel, taste is a blast of spice, caramel, vanilla and a great amount of wood. Gorgeous color and long legs. Cheers!

Very well done bourbon and surely an upgrade in flavor and body compared to original Coopers Craft. Rich with great sweet brown sugar and baking spice note...reminiscent of fresh baked apple pie on the nose plus a terrific dose of wood. On the palate you pick up more of the same, well balanced, easy drinking, very smooth and a medium finish. Great price point too, a great daily driver. Cheers!

As a WT fanboy I really enjoy and always have a few bottles of their exceptional 101 Rye. This Russell’s Reserve definitely is a “step up” expressing truer rye flavors on the nose and palette. Less sweet, more rye and baking spices, great texture and finish. Another WT classic...Enjoy!
