Buffalo Trace Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATasted August 15, 2021Sweet, a bit oaky, some cinnamon spice, light on the palate, short finish. Been drinking this for years, solid everyday dram however, don’t find it as interesting or as complex as other bourbons.
Evan Williams 1783 Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATasted June 23, 2021Pure, modest, exceptional value bourbon. Oak, vanilla, clove, cinnamon…Medium finish, a little light on the palate but just enough to keep the dram interesting and satisfying. Great package redesign and increase in proof. Cheers!14.99 USD per Bottle
Old Tub Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATasted August 1, 2020On the nose...Vanilla, Honey, Oak, Cinnamon Palate...All of the above plus candy corn and caramel however, not cloyingly sweet as the wood balances it out. Mouthfeel is viscous and provides a nice coating. Finish...Wonderful Medium/Long Kentucky Hug. As a long time fan and drinker OGD BIB, I was afraid this may be too similar. Fortunately, it is slightly different with a richer profile. Delicious, terrific price point, and great old time labeling...Cheers!
Peated Single Malt — Islay, ScotlandTasted January 2, 2020One of my favorite Ardbeg expressions...Beautiful nose and palate with a balance of peat, salinity, stone fruit and the rich sherry influence. Wonderful dram that should be enjoyed neat and savored slowly...Cheers!

Booker’s Bourbon Batch 2019-03 “Country Ham”
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATasted November 23, 2019Phenomenal yet slightly different offering from Booker’s. Very smooth, easy drinking, brown sugar and cinnamon bomb! Some usual oak and a bit of tobacco as well with a medium long finish. Neat (IMO) is the perfect way to sip this terrific bourbon. Cheers!
Foursquare 2004 Single Blended Rum
Aged Rum — BarbadosTasted October 17, 2019As a full fledged Whiskey/Bourbon drinker for more than 30years, this Rum is truly a masterpiece. Rich, viscous and not overly sweet. Balanced notes of vanilla, molasses, spice and oak on the nose. On the palate it’s cocoa, spice, oak, and caramel. Finish is long and warming but not overpowering. Fantastic pour and should be enjoyed neat (IMO) I enjoy all my whiskey at high and or cask strength so this is right up my alley. Cheers!
New Riff Kentucky Straight Rye Bottled In Bond
Rye — Kentucky , USATasted October 12, 2019A truly well done and enjoyable Rye. Nose and palate deliver rich spice, vanilla, oak and caramel. None overpower each other, all in balance with a viscous mouthfeel and medium long finish. Cheers!
Chattanooga Whiskey Cask 111
Bourbon — Tennessee, USATasted October 8, 2019Fantastic whiskey produced by this distillery...Already have a back up bottle on hand. Nose is intense with sweet spices, charred barrel, leather and tobacco. On the palate, much of the same as on the nose but with a smooth, mouth coating, long finish. Ridiculously smooth for cask strength and truly a spirit to be savored. Cheers!
