St. George Baller Single Malt Whisky
American Single Malt — California, USA
Reviewed June 23, 2019 (edited February 16, 2021)• Nose - soapy floral younger whiskey. Buttery? Vegetal funk? Spice. • Taste - smokey, some light ashy bitterness. Vegetal on the aftertaste. The sweetness is almost what's wrong with it. Started as a good wood fired veggie pizza taste but the sweetness is like you stewed the tomatoes and basil for too long -
Redbreast 12 Year Cask Strength
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed June 23, 2019 (edited July 2, 2020)• Nose:Peppery, savory • Taste: Super sweet bread/cookies, to sour green apple, to pepper and allspice -
Nose • Honey, oak, lemon, barley, some other grains, a little peat Taste • Light golden sugar /molasses, barley, slight oak vanilla/maple, heather, grain whiskey, very slight peat smoke, black pepper, • Finish is short/medium with some pepper and light barley flavors Pretty good and quite smooth, although a little underwhelming and watery. The good flavors fade too quickly. Finish is shorter than ideal, but expected given 40% ABV. I think it's certainly worth sipping and considering. 77/10024.0 USD per Bottle
