Visual: diluted apple juice yellow. Nose: brine. Alcohol heat. Marmalade. Mostly indistinguishable asaide from nostril burn. Taste: not oily at all. Very light. Sherry cask. Very little burn. No peat. Sweet, faint vanilla caramel, almost a stevia sweetness. Not a complex dram. Finish: very fast. Overall: not outstanding. Unremarkable. More like a box wine type of whiskey due to its lack of complexity. Nothing stands out in terms of flavor.

Nose: sweet buttercream. Slight alcohol heat. Cinnamon baking spice. Mouthfeel: thin. Spice tingles across the tongue. Taste: nothing really jumps out. Finish is very fast, leaving the feeling of having eaten red hots candy in your mouth. It’s a middle of the road whiskey. Not bad but doesn’t really reveal its character. There’s potential there though.

Nose: peat but heavy on a medicinal plastic side. Sea brine. Mouthfeel: watery. Not oily or rich at all. Taste: medium, short lived alcohol burn. Finish is short. Little to no depth that last as long as a flash in the pan. Dried fruit, honey is there if you look hard enough. Nothing really shines though. Daily low cost drinker? Meh. For the cost (depending on where you live) pick up a bottle of bowmore for the same price.

Color: dark apple juice or dehydrated urine. Nose: honey, baking spices, vanilla, orange zest, and sweet caramel Taste: mouthfeel is oily, red hots on finish that tapers off into a hint of tobacco - like you smoked a good cigar yesterday. Rye spice with maple syrup in apple juice. Sipped neat. Mouth is delightfully on fire from the spice. Very smooth and sweet. Get it to share with friends

Nose: strong peat. Not smooth smoke. More like peat smoke over freshly laid asphalt. Tobacco pouch. Leather. Old man local pub. Taste: alcohol bite. Honey. Finish is short leaving burn with a hint of peat. It gives you a glimpse of what a peated scotch is meant to taste like before quickly disappearing; leaving you wondering what you just sipped. It’s a value islay. Decent for an after work everyday drink. Think of it as the box wine of scotch. Good enough for everyday drinking but maybe not something to break out for company. Still - it excels as being dependably average and for that it’s worth buying.

Strong pest on the nose. Tastes like stinky whiskey flavored brisket. Charcoal, Spice and pepper on the finish. Very complex and enjoyable whiskey. Not for the faint of heart. It’s to be enjoyed while contemplating the past or future. Not for a casual drink after work or on an all night session. Strongly recommended for the experience.
