It's good, but I don't see they hype about it. It's made with a bourbon mashbill and it tastes... pretty much like a bourbon. Loads of caramel and brown sugar on the nose and palate along with some vanilla and butterscotch. Not much of a char/smokey taste from the used barrels, you get much more of the spirit. It is easy to drink, not very spiky at all. I like it, but don't come at it thinking it's something totally different than a bourbon.35.99 USD per Bottle

Bowman Brothers Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Virginia, USA
Reviewed June 23, 2020 (edited December 8, 2020)Carmel and cherry on the nose. The taste is sweet with brown sugar and vanilla. Can taste a little rye influence and a little cherry. An enjoyable sipper. -
Basil Hayden's Caribbean Reserve Rye (Discontinued)
Rye — Multiple Countries
Reviewed April 17, 2020 (edited January 24, 2022)Bought in the hope of finding a cheaper, more readily available version of Angel's Envy Rye. I would say it's almost there. There is a lot of maple syrup flavor on the nose and the taste but unlike in the AE, the rye spice peaks out more and it isn't nearly as sweet (but still very sweet). While it won't replace AE rye anytime soon for me, it is still a worthy challenger and this is a bottle I'm more likely to share.43.99 USD per Bottle -
Tomatin Legacy
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 17, 2020 (edited February 19, 2020)Apples for days! The nose reminds me of apple brandy. The taste is light and soft. Hints of smoke and more apples. Great pick for the price.16.99 USD per Bottle
