Enjoying neat. Visually crystal clear. Long legs on the glass. Nose is beautiful and complex with lots of cooked agave, tropical fruits, citrus blossom, minerals/earth, brine, lime peel, along with some green herbal notes. Oily mouthfeel. Taste is agave sweet, significant citrus, some tropical fruit, anise and pepper (black and white). Finish is fairly long, slightly sweet with a little black pepper spice and some bitter citrus pith and herbs to dry it out at the very end. Complex and balanced with a very pleasant flavor profile. Not sure if it's in stores, but can be obtained online. Pricing is on the high end for a blanco, but worth it. A high quality product, not marketing fluff. Would definitely buy again49.0 USD per Bottle

4 Copas Tequila Blanco
Tequila Blanco — Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed November 1, 2020 (edited December 28, 2023)Neat. Nose is cooked fruity agave, earth, some herbs, citrus, and butter. Taste is rich with agave, soft citrus, white pepper, ripe tropical fruit and flowers, even a hint of vanilla, cinnamon and mint. Finish is mildly sweet, some citrus pith, hints of herbs soft anise. Nicely balanced, very little alcohol burn. A well made, natural tasting tequila with a wonderful flavor profile. Don't waste this on mixers. Quite rewarding for neat sipping. Fresh bottle tasting was a little mild and disappointing, but some air time really brought out some flavors. A little on the pricey side, but it's a honest delicious tequila worth it for those that like a prettier profile47.0 USD per Bottle -
Neat. Nose is lots of agave, oak, some dried fruits, earth, vanilla, caramel. Taste is sweet agave, oak, caramel, hints of vanilla and dried plums and raisins. The sweet flavors are balanced with some green herbs, spicy cinnamon, black pepper. Finish is moderately sweet balanced with oak tannins, pepper and cinnamon. Moderately full mouthfeel, minimal heat. Overall top tier in its price class. Sweet and rich, but with enough spice and tannins to keep it from being cloying. Additives seem minimal. This is a repeat buy for me as a daily sipper30.0 USD per Bottle

Don Abraham Organic Extra Añejo
Tequila Extra Añejo — Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed October 25, 2020 (edited April 2, 2021)Neat. Nice deep copper color. Nose is agave, lots of vanilla, flan, and oak, some earthiness and barrel spices. Taste is quite sweet with agave, Also heavy on the oak/vanilla/caramel/molasses/maple syrup. There are some hints of anise, black pepper, and baking spices. Mouthfeel is moderate and natural Overall, this feels like an honest extra anejo. Sweet and oaky, but not overly and artificially rich and cloying. Maybe too much for a daily, but very much on point for a special occasion after dinner sip. If you like 1942, I think this is next level while keeping a similar taste profile (for slightly less $)100.0 USD per Bottle -
Neat. Nose of agave, oak, slight vanilla, toffee, black pepper, earth. Taste is agave sweet, significant caramel, vanilla, flan, oak, black pepper, cinnamon, and a hint of anise. Finish is long, sweet, mellow and eventually dry. Most of the flavors stick around for a while, but the vanilla, oak, cinnamon, and black pepper play around on the tongue the longest. Mouthfeel is moderately light Very nice anejo. Not too sweet, oaky, and a little spice. Good crossover for bourbon lovers60.0 USD per Bottle

Don Sergio Blanco
Tequila Blanco — Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed October 25, 2020 (edited October 27, 2021)Neat. Nose is lots of cooked agave, fruity as in pear or plum, citrus zest, slightly vegetal, and a little brine/minerals. Taste is fruity agave sweet, well balanced with a little green olive, orange zest, some herbal notes. Finish is some slight sweetness fading leaving the green olive and zest. Smooth with a moderately light mouthfeel. Overall, a pretty decent tequila for the price. If you enjoy a traditional martini with an olive, this shares a lot of the flavors.22.0 USD per Bottle -
Neat. Color is brassy. Nose is agave, caramel, vanilla, oak. Flavor is agave/heavy caramel and butterscotch, flan, vanilla, oak, black pepper, and some baking spices, predominately cinnamon. Finish is moderate and is mostly caramel and cinnamon. Overall pretty typical for an anejo in this price class. Easy to drink, sweet, dessert flavors, significant additives make it taste a bit artificial. I'd personally spend a couple dollars more for Altos Anejo, which doesn't have the additives, but is is less 'smooth' and you won't get the sweet flan flavors of this. Chalk this up to an inexpensive crowd pleaser that's available in big bottles and I don't see a big reason to pay more than this for Total Wine house brands in an anejo.28.0 USD per Bottle

Neat. Nose is agave, red apple, minerals, a little mint and herbs. Taste is true to nose, agave, some apple, green herbs, bright mint, soft citrus, and some mineral salinity. The finish is dry with some slight sweetness, citrus peel, soft herbs. Very nice blanco. Complex, yet easy and not too sweet. Hard to beat at this price. Definitely punches above it's price class29.0 USD per Bottle

Neat. Pale straw in color. Nose is lots of agave, some grassy herbs, oak, minerals, and slight vanilla. Taste is agave sweet with slight oak, toffee, orange peel, almonds, vanilla and anise, balanced with bitter green herbs, and slight mineral salinity. Finish is dry with moderate saccharine sweet/tart, minerals, orange peel, oak tannins. Richness/mouthfeel is moderately thin, but it does have some legs Overall a nice natural tasting tequila. I personally enjoy this being on the drier/bitter/complex side versus the average tequila. Not a lot of wood, but just enough to add another layer of complexity without distracting from the agave notes. Excellent value32.0 USD per Bottle

Neat. Nose is sweet with caramel, oak, vanilla, cream soda. Taste is extremely sweet, sucralose, cream soda, burnt sugar. Any complexity is overwhelmed. Finish is very sweet, sucralose. Obviously an additive bomb. Smells better than it tastes. Cool bottle tho..admit it..that's why you're buying it. If you like Clase Azul Repo, this is another option for less money. More style than substance. 80 proof oaked cream soda liqueur.
