Note: toasty, rye, apricot, sherry again has a sake like nose Body: light-medium (nice) Palate: malty, bready, vanilla Finish: medium Note: this one is really good.

Nose: macallan-esq sherry apricot nose with caramel and pepper Body: medium Palate: malt, vanilla Finish: medium Note: this one is ok, not enough body. I guess I don’t see what the fuss is about with these Japanese malts. They seem to fall flat for me. And again more rice.

Nose: vanilla, honeyed, sweet Body: medium Palate: spice, floral, vanilla sweetness, peppery with a light malt Finish: medium Note: ok, not enough body for my liking. Also makes me wonder if all Japanese whiskey has rice in it. Like their secret sauce.

Nose: floral, sherry, herbaceous and rose petal, light Body: light-medium Palate: very light, honey, grainy maltiness with spice on the end. Finish: short Note: very very light and simple. Like the ex bourbon I wonder if this has rice in it, has a sake undertone. Wheated malt.

Nose: crisp, light, peppery, salty with hint of vanilla Body: medium Palate: more full than the blended oak, sweet (bourbon notes), honey and rose petal Finish: medium Note: I like this more than the blended oak has more body but still light. Also reminds me of sake, maybe rice. I think is a corn distillate but this must have rice in it with a sake undertone.

Representing island of islay Nose: sea air, salt, sherry a lot like the classic laddie nose. Vanilla, toffe, (bourbon elements?!), melon, more smoke later on and peat with water Body: light Palate: coffee, smoke, light sweetness, but smoke predominates with water spice increased which I think is odd, maybe it’s the dinner I’m eating it with? Hint of vanilla with water Finish: short to medium, peat Note: delicious really good just short of amazing... if the sweat nose came through on the palate this would be amazing

Representing island of islay Nose: sherry, oak, light sweet vanilla, with water waaay more apricot and malty, sea air melon Body: light Palate: light spice, light sweet, malt, water killed the spice maybe more spice and salt Finish: long slow burn Note: nothing like PC 7. No peat is hilarious for islay. I like this maybe border on really like but not amazing

Representing speyside findhorn river Nose: honey, caramel, oak Body: light Palate: sweet, vanilla toffee, oak, caramel, chocolate, hint of spice Finish: short with oak and hint of distant smoke Note: a very nice dram, very good not great but extremely drinkable. My initial thought was holy oak, and it played out as a sweet , bourbon casks shine through, oak mix that is delicious.

Representing the island of islay Nose is sweet with cinnamon. Body is medium Palate is of bourbon sweetness, some spice and a hint of sea salt and smoke Finish is short and sweet Note: it’s a pleasant dram. I think I just like bunnahabhain in general. I would drink this again.

Nose: whoa rye bread 😂 bagel chips. Body: mild Palate: spicy, rye, vanilla Finish: short and rye bread Note: I feel like based on this I’m not a rye guy but it’s interesting. It’s like a ton of rye like it’s all rye, I want to see the mash bill. Let’s see how it grows on me
