Water is your best friend here - this is a whisky that comes to life with a few drops of water. The nose is obviously peated, and lacks further complexity after that. In juxtaposition the palate is actually light, and spicy. The overall effect is a drink that lacks finesse yet holds onto its own. Not bad.

Complex, and quite pleasant. To the eye it's peculiarly yellow, which is expected considering it's only been in cask for 10 years, though also pleasant to know it probably lacks E150 coloring. The nose and palate are herbal, like a backyard garden, with the tongue occasionally experiencing a touch of lemon. The finish is a little short and leaves wanting. Overall a fairly-balanced whiskey, and certainly delicious for the affordable price.
