Jack Daniel's Bonded Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed January 8, 2023 (edited February 2, 2023)Not so powerfully banana bread as the Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel, but very much a taste of banana bread. This isn’t my favorite offering from JD, but is pretty good. Certainly better than old number 7, and Gentleman Jack. -
Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 2
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed July 3, 2022 (edited November 15, 2022)Simply put, this is delicious. I will write a proper review at some point, but first taste is pretty good.89.0 USD per Bottle -
Hirsch The Horizon Straight Bourbon (Batch AAH0320)
Bourbon — Indiana, USA
Reviewed March 24, 2022 (edited December 12, 2023)Unique bottle, classy labeling. I really like the transparency with mash bill and aging. It is pretty good, but I enjoy the smell more than the taste of it.39.95 USD per Bottle -
Really liked this when I first tried it, but it doesn’t have depth, and doesn’t keep my interest anymore. There is agave, but this is too sweet, and the other flavors taste artificial; like they are all tweaked to make it “perfect” and just like Instagram filters, once you’ve tweaked things too far, it doesn’t look real anymore.

Let us be clear, this is not something I will be drinking neat, aside from tasting a bit to get its profile. It is designed for making Margaritas, and it is fantastic for this use. Any cocktail that you want to have a very clean, sweet, orange flavor, Agavero Orange is a decent choice. This does not have the depth of flavors that Cointreau or Grand Marnier has, and is definitely on the sweet side, but it is also delicious. It has enough agave flavor that it can boost your Margarita’s character a little bit too.
