I too enjoyed the contrast between the light color and what is after all quite a big whisky. I found it more and more interesting after a bit of time and a second sip.

I just agree with the Distillers' tasting notes. The peat is just coming to add complexity to what is anyway a very well structured whisky

Sure the aromas are nice and everything tastes good, but like a bit diluted. I wish it had come with a higher strength for more concentrated flavours and richer body. That said, I loved the Chef Collaboration.

I'm not sure about the release year. The one I tried was released in 2011 and was showing amazing light white flowers aromas. Before the soft peatiness of course. Very delicate somehow, but absolutely remarquable. The 35yo is far better for the complexity it offers, but this one is already a winner, and also a good price for the quality.

I understand why people might like it. It's decently made and there is nothing wrong with it, but I think I'm a bit old fashion and I'm happy with my peaked Ardbeg...

This one was sooo good! I am sure there are better whiskies on earth, but I stick to the five stars. The taste is rich, intense, with dry fruits and almost dark chocolate, plus a very soft touch of smoke in the end to give structure to it. Love it!
