Good sweetness. Some spicy punch and a herbal flavour to it. Good stuff!

Lacks sweetness. Too watery and has an ashy smoke to it that I don’t much enjoy. Somewhat sour also.

Sweetness but more balanced than just a punch of caramel. Good subtle spice. This just passes the mark of being sipable straight as is.

Nose has some complexity in fuitiness. Taste is sweet with some slight fruity acidicness. It is a little watery, making it have less of the unpleasent rough alcohol edge, but also a little boring.

Caramel nose with a little vanilla. Tastes caramel sweet and a littke spice but nothing more – somewhat boring. Alcohol punch isn’t hidden that well due to the lack of richness. Ok, but wouldn’t bother to drink straight.

Very balanced. Fruity and cerial sweet, leaving you with a full mouthfeel and a semi-sharp spiciness. It’s very sippable – just deep enough to give a mellow feel but lacks the hard edge that would bring fourth a more rough grit. I can imaging many occasions where this would be a choice whiskey; apart from the warmest summer and coldest winter days this can cover most everything in between. It’s really good – just short of great. There is some ashy smoke to it albeit very slight.
