Terroir smells like walking through a pine forest on a sunny afternoon; warm needles and amber resin. Lovely. Complex, layered; fir, bay, and sage up front with resiny sweetness and cool minty spice following. As much as I adore Terroir, it's district flavor profile leaves me confused as to its best use. My palate translates bitter into OMGBITTER; no Negroni or G&T for me. Maybe a Gin Fizz?

St. George Botanivore Gin
Modern Gin — California, USA
Reviewed March 17, 2017 (edited February 3, 2018)Complex, layered, crisp, spicy; juniper, bay, and pepper up front with citrus, ginger and gentle sweetness following. Botanivore is my pick for a perfect martini (3:1 with Dolin Dry, a dash of celery bitters, stirred until ice cold, served in a Nick and Nora glass with olives or a lemon twist).
