Vanilla, cherry and caramel are the dominant notes I get on the nose. Also some underlying hints of cinnamon and raisin. Notes of vanilla and caramel on the nose are present in the initial sip. Notes of cinnamon candy and caramel appear early on the nose. Also get a scent as I go back that's reminiscent of honey butter. First sip is sweet with notes of caramel and cherry. Taste evolves on mid palate with a dark chocolate note and the buttery note that appeared on the nose. Finishes with some heat and drying notes of pepper and leather that lasts for a medium length.59.99 USD per Bottle

Frey Ranch Farm Strength Uncut Bourbon
Bourbon — Nevada, USA
Reviewed July 11, 2024 (edited July 12, 2024)Nose is dominated by sweet notes of grass and hay. Some subtle hints of apple, raisin and citrus appear along with a touch of caramel. Initial sip is sweet with flavors of caramel and butterscotch. Flavor evolves into an oaky note that has some bitterness and brings back the grassy and hay note from the nose on the finish. Good amount of heat that lingers for a long finish. Not the typical flavor profiles you expect from a bourbon, but still an interesting and enjoyable drinking experience.79.99 USD per Bottle -

Joseph Magnus Triple Cask Finished Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (Finished and Bottled in Washington DC), USA
Reviewed May 29, 2024Notes of cherry, vanilla, chocolate and just a touch of cinnamon give the nose a sweet profile. Palate differs immensely from the nose, where the front palate is dominated by pepper and cinnamon. Very subtle notes of vanilla appear breifly. Taste evolves to a more leathery note by mid-palate with an oaky and spicy finish.99.99 USD per Bottle -
Nose is pleasant with hints of apple, vanilla and maple. Oddly, I also get some notes of root beer/birch beer. Palate is significantly different from nose. I get some very earthy and bitter notes at the front, almost what I would describe as mossy. Leathery notes appear mid-palate. Do get hints of the root beer/birch beer I got on the nose during the finish. Not a huge fan of this neat, so I tried on the rocks and enjoyed it much more. The taste of root beer/birch beer was even more prevalent on ice. Enjoy Maker's 46 a lot and wanted to love this because I typically gravitate to higher proof offerings, but was not a fan after my experience with this bottle. Plan to purchase again to reassess and reevaluate in hopes that my bottle was just a bad batch.60.0 USD per Bottle
