Tastes

Nose is predominantly raisin, cinnamon and leather with sweeter notes of caramel, brown sugar and vanilla also appearing. Notes of vanilla and caramel stand out on the initial sip. Palate evolves to spicy rye and toasted oak notes on the finish. Medium finish that accentuates the oak and rye notes. Overall a quality bourbon with classic flavors.

Scents of cherry, raisin, caramel, cinnamon, brown sugar and vanilla are present on the nose. There is also an underlying layer of spice and heat from the alcohol that appears. Initial sip has notes of vanilla, cinnamon and cherry. Spice and heat increases on the mid-palate with some bitter chocolate and light wood notes appearing. Has a long tingling finish that lingers on the tongue. Sweet and spicy bourbon that packs a punch and intensifies the flavor profile of lower proof Maker's releases. Quality bourbon that is readily available and that I like to keep on hand.

Very complex tasting experience. There are different and unique notes on both the nose and taste every time I go back to this bourbon. Most prevalent on the nose are a fruity note that has peach and citrus characteristics. Those notes give way to hints of vanilla, caramel and milk chocolate. Notes from the nose are prevalent on the palate. Complex evolution on the palate as I experience lots of peach and vanilla on the front, with chocolate and caramel on the mid-palate and a spicy tobacco and leathery finish that lingers. Barrell Vantage offers a different experience everytime I go back to it with different notes coming to forefront with each tasting.

Fruity and sweet nose that is not very complex. Very reminiscient of green apple with hints of vanilla. Sweetness translates to the palate with the same apple and vanilla notes present from the nose. Short finish that has a slight bit of heat, pepper and oak. Easy sipper that is light, sweet and enjoyable.

Nose brings out notes of maple syrup, banana, walnuts and chocolate. The aroma reminds me of going to the local breakfast buffet and having chocolate chip banana pancakes. These scents transition well to the taste of the bourbon, adding in some vanilla to those notes. Has a very subdued finish with a hint of oak that disappears quickly. Can easily consider this one of my favorite bourbons and try to keep it in stock at all times.

Nose is rich and sweet. Notes of red apple, chocolate, vanilla and caramel are present. Vanilla and caramel are also present on the first sip. Taste transitions to dark chocolate, followed by an oak and pepper finish. Has a nice mix of sweet and spicy and has become a favorite.
