    I don’t know what quinine smells like, but I’m guessing it’s part of this that I just can’t describe. The aroma is incredibly distinct; fruity, citrusy, bitter, floral. Quite sweet and floral with a long bitter finish. It’s delicious; a bit sweet for drinking neat, but fortunately there are plenty of other uses.

    Rich, spiced aroma with gin botanicals, berry, cinnamon, orange, lemon. Well spiced, sweet, fruity and somewhat herbal taste. A little thicker than expected. Not ideal for sipping neat, but of course excellent for cocktails.

    Toast, oak, black cherry, cantaloupe nose. Medium sweet, toasty, oaky taste with vanilla and a bit of a nutty finish. Not particularly complex, but a nice whiskey for $18.

    Deep golden. Aroma of candied apple and ginger. Sweet, spicy, obnoxious cloying taste. Pretty awful really, though I suppose it would be drinkable with a heavy compliment of mixers.

    Oak, vanilla, banana, coconut, dark chocolate, cherry popsicle, and a little something herbal. Heavy oaked taste, toast, vanilla, white pepper, sugar cane, but also velvety sweet. More oaky and dry than sweet. Very smooth. Very good, at a great price point.

    Pretty neutral with piney aroma. Tastes of neutral grain with slight pine and a touch of sweetness. Fairly easy going down with medium consistency. Not much to it, but it’s clean and the subtle flavors round it out pretty nicely.

    Oak, Apple, cherry, Cabernet, white pepper nose. Softly sweet, rich, spicy, oaky, fruity taste with some wine. The cab is evident, but doesn’t take over; the oak dominates.

    Relatively subtle aroma of green apple and grain alcohol. Oily, relatively hot, astringent, and very cloyingly sweet; cough syrup. I’m sorry someone invented this.
