So immediately the smoothness of this fine liquid jumps out. And almost immediately the sweet honey flavour jumps out. And then great delicate spices. As it takes on a tad ice cube melting I found what I can only describe as Crème Brûlée. It is far more sophisticated and complex then my palate which makes it highly drinkable.

As a huge fan of Old Forrester I was eager to try the Rye. I was not disappointed. It will become my go to rye. OF immediately gave me spice and a pepper feel finishing with soft oak. This baby is a great Rye whiskey with your typical notes of vanilla, oak and caramel.

As a bourbon drinker I get the usual Caramel, dried dark fruit, oak flavours. As a Canadian I read about 1870 having a maple frosting on a donut, cocoa and some baking spice. And I found it quickly. Nice sweet maple flavour. Strong start with a soft delicate out. Gotta love OF products.

This Ain’t your Daddy’s Jamie. This puppy grew up and became a solid whiskey. Nice soft smoke with a great pop of dark fruits. Good flavours. Nice adjustment from a super smooth liquid in the normal Jamie to a far more interesting complex liquid. Well played!

Love 12.1. It’s an Octomore. Has all the same notes as other O’s but just missing a little something something. Not the best one but it’s still a F’ing amazing liquid. Don’t stop. Never stop. Keep making this wonderful nectar!!!!

This by far has been one of the most delightful scotches I have ever had the chance to enjoy. On the nose without ice is heavy peat with smoke being the centre of interest. Once you slip a cube into this nectar of the gods and let it chill for 3 minutes (not 2.5 minutes) the smoke on the nose starts to dissipate and a sweetness evolves. Now this golden dream has so many amazing flavours. A strange but delicious combination of cherries jubilee with an out of smoke is so amazingly delicious. Have had many Octomore. Love this juice and 8.1 is a superb Octomore!!!

I love how scotch is always scotch. So yummy and by gosh darn it BM 15 Manages to embody all the greatest characteristics a scotch can have. Sweetness, dark fruits with a hint of smoke. A good upgrade from the 12 that justifies opening the fat wallet. Easy consumption. Tastes like another!!!

Highly drinkable. Tastes like another. Careful once opened that you don’t keep sipping all night. Beautifully smooth right through leaving you with a strong desire for another.

This is a very nice straight up scotch. A nice darker colour. Hints of sweetness (dark chocolate) pops before dark fruits begin to show up. In subsequent glasses I find spices (nutmeg perhaps - maybe cinnamon). Easily an after dinner special glass.

So soft on the palate with full but muted flavours that combined perfectly with my Montecristo’s. A nice liquid.
